The Teton Valley Balloon Rally (TVBR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, committed to keeping the magic of ballooning alive in the years to come. The traditional event, now in it's 39th year, features several mornings of group hot air balloon launchs from the Teton County Fairgrounds in Driggs, ID over the July 4 weekend. The TVBR organization provides ongoing program opportunities for elementary schools and provides a scholarship to a Balloon Federation of America Junior Balloonist Summer Camp to a deserving middle or high school student each year. Balloons are scheduled to launch from the Teton Valley Fairgrounds in Driggs, ID shortly after sunrise Thursday - Sunday, July 4-7. 10-15 balloons are expected to launch each morning. Spectators are encouraged to arrive by 6:30am for the full experience. Once the balloons have launched, a walk-in balloon will be inflated, and tether rides may be available. A hot breakfast will be available for purchase, provided by Seniors West of the Tetons.
IF WE DON'T FLY...
The Teton Valley Balloon Rally is committed to safety as our first priority. There is always a possibility that we may not fly one or more mornings of the event, due to weather conditions. Depending on the conditions, balloons may tether (inflate and go up a short distance on a rope), do static displays (inflate but stay on the ground), or candle stick (fire off the burners, but not inflate). Under almost all grounded circumstances, our walk-in balloon will still be inflated on the ground, and available for spectators to walk inside.
