INFORMATION, RULES & REGULATIONS
ALL CAMPING RESERVATIONS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. You may transfer your reservation to a different name until June 15.
Camping opens at 3pm on Monday, July 1. Arrivals prior to July 3 will receive instructions for self check-in. Departure is no later than 12pm on Tuesday, July 9. There is ABSOLUTELY NO CAMPING ARRIVAL BETWEEN 9:00PM - 9:00AM.
Camping at the balloon field has traditionally been dispersed on a first come, first served basis in a demarked area at the northeast side of the balloon field with a designated TENT CAMPING ONLY space where vehicles of any kind are prohibited. At this time we intend to operate camping in this manner again in 2024. However, due to expected high demand on Saturday evening, there is a chance that we may assign sites. If this transition is made after you have made your camping reservation, you will be emailed specific instructions regarding the change.
The camping area is DRY AND WITHOUT POWER. Trash dumpsters, recycling bins, and porta-pots are provided. A potable water spicket is available upon arrival to fill holding tanks if necessary. You are responsible for keeping the camping area clean - please be respectful our of volunteer staff and DO NOT PUT TRASH IN THE RECYCLING BINS.
ABSOLUTELY NO FIRES. This means any kind of open flame and includes ground level propane fire pits. Grills and propane cook stoves are allowed, but must be used a minimum of 30in from the ground. In the event of severe fire restrictions, further cooking restrictions may be implemented.
Generators are permitted and, as long as your neighbors don't mind, you are welcome to run your generator all night if you wish.
The balloon field is adjacent to the Teton Valley Rodeo Arena, with rodeos taking place on the nights of Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5. Please note that the announcements are LOUD and often last until 10:30 or 11:00PM. You may want to wear earplugs, run a noise machine, or both.
Well behaved pets are welcome at the balloon field. All pets must be under verbal or physical control at all times, and campers are responsible for cleaning up after their pets IMMEDIATELY. All pets must be confined to a camper, vehicle, or tent during morning launches. Pets should NOT be left in tents, campers, or vehicles that are not temperature controlled after 9am, as it gets HOT. *You may be visited by Zeppelin or Bix - these Newfoundlands are the Rally Dogs & they often roam free at the balloon field; if you see them their people are nearby*
WE LOVE VOLUNTEERS! Volunteering at the Teton Valley Balloon Rally is an amazing experience and we would love to have you. Volunteering also provides free camping at the balloon field the night prior to your volunteer shift. Want to get involved? REGISTER TO VOLUNTEER!
The Teton Valley Balloon Rally is committed to safety as our first priority. There is always a possibility that we may not fly one or more mornings of the event, due to weather conditions. The decision to or not to fly is made by the Teton Valley Balloon Rally Balloon Meister each morning - we will not announce the evening before if there will be a weather cancellation. Depending on the conditions, balloons may do static displays (inflate but stay on the ground) or candle stick (fire off the burners, but not inflate). No matter what the circumstances on the field on the morning of a weather cancellation, it is not our policy to provide admission or camping refunds if we cancel due to weather. Ultimately, your admission and camping fees support the ongoing work of the Teton Valley Balloon Rally, and make it possible for us to be here for you year after year. Admission passes for days that we do not fly may be rolled over to the next day upon request. When volunteer staffing allows, we will also provide our walk-through balloon and/or tether rides at the field one or more mornings.
